Child Allowances
To help facilitate child care, the following child allowance programs are available. For more information, contact the Child-raising Promotion Division, 2nd floor of the city office. Tel: 3264-2111 ext. 2441
Child Allowance
This allowance is paid to families with preschool children. In
addition, the household income must be lower than a specified amount.
Child Rearing Allowance
This allowance is paid to single parent families (as a result
of death or divorce) or if one parent is severely handicapped and
the child is under the age of 18.
Child Support Allowance
This allowance is paid to a mother without a spouse or with a
severely handicapped spouse, or a guardian who raises a child or
children under 18 years old (20 years old if the child is handicapped
to a medium or higher degree). The income must be lower than a specified
amount.
Handicapped Child Allowance
This allowance is paid to families with a child or children who
are under 20 years old who are mentally or physically handicapped.
Special Child Support Allowance
The allowance is paid to families with similar qualifications
as the Handicapped Child Allowance above.
Welfare Programs for the Elderly
There are various services available for senior citizens who live alone or who are bedridden.
Programs include meal delivery, furniture brace installation, emergency alert systems and more.

Welfare Programs for the Disabled
There are various services available for the physically and mentally disabled.
Programs include assistance with daily life chores, financial allowances, subsidies for medical expenses and more.
